Lake County (IN) Rescinds Political-sign Duration Ban

Lake County (IN) had a provision in its sign code that disallowed the posting of political signs more than 30 days prior to the election. However, in light of last year's Reed v. Gilbert SCOTUS decision, a county attorney determined the provision is unconstitutional, according to an August 18 article in the northwest Indiana Post-Tribune, written by Carrie Napoleon. Consequently, the county had rescinded that provision.
