David Servine, who has helped formulate and write regulations pertaining to electric signs for the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Underwriters Laboratories continuously since 1992, was honored with the Kirk L. Brimley Distinguished Service Award at the International Sign Association Sign Expo in Orlando, Florida on April 22. Servine most recently assisted with two sign-industry, trade-journal articles as regulators are now struggling to address retrofitting LEDs into existing signs in the field.
